Soil Testing PasturesI came across an interesting article, “Soil testing cool-season pastures can produce dividends” The main takeaway from this article is that many producers focus on applying nitrogen tho their pastures and don’t realize that they have a phosphorus deficiency. Phosphorus is needed for good root development and by applying phosphorus in the fall can help replenish soil nutrients and help pastures get an earlier growing start for the spring.

Check out more in this article and learn how soil testing can help you by checking out resources on the Midwest Laboratories Site.
