Welcome to 2018

At Midwest Laboratories, we are anticipating another exciting year of analysis. In 2017, we updated many laboratory instruments and that investment paid off nicely with the receipt of large volumes of samples in various departments.

One of our goals is to identify specific analysis areas that can be updated through technology and technique. This process involves a thorough review of current lab procedures and methods. We have three full-time staff in our QA/QC Quality Department who perform this work on a daily basis to ensure the accuracy and validity of our analysis methods. This process has helped us recognize potential analysis issues and be able to address them promptly.

Another area we are looking at is our overall laboratory information management system. In 2018, we will be upgrading our current system by adding systems that will help us be more responsive and enable us to continue to meet client objectives in the areas of analysis turnaround time and analysis tractability. More information to come in 2018.

We are also working with our suppliers to continue to find ways to help manage our costs so we can continue to provide clients with an affordable analysis option.

Client Inquiries

In 2017 we upgraded our client inquiry process with a new system to help us be more responsive to clients’ questions. If you have an analysis question, please take a minute and send your question to a member of our staff. We welcome your questions, and we will try to answer your question in a timely fashion to help you better address your analysis needs.

Summary

As I stated earlier, we are looking forward to 2018.  In 2017, one of the major takeaways I had was the fact that we work with some great companies who want to continue to grow at a pace much faster than their competition. At Midwest Laboratories, we also want to be in a position to continue to grow at a rapid rate to ensure the highest quality and turnaround time service.

Analysis information is a critical input to many of your ongoing business decisions. For this reason, we believe service is just as essential as analysis. If you have questions, please take a minute and share them. You may be surprised at how much time you can save by getting answers regarding your analysis results.
